Mela Guitar Quartet

The Quartet are making their second appearance at Great Comp, having followed that much-praised first performance by winning the Guitar Foundation of American International Ensemble competition in 2023. This led to an extensive North America tour this year, performing the programme for this concert. It displays all facets of their ‘technical brilliance and preternatural ensemble-making’ (Gramophone), including showstoppers by Glinka and Rachmaninov.
